Sous Chef – Fine Dining – Toronto, ON
Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years in upscale or fine dining restaurants
Cuisine Specialty: French-Canadian, Contemporary
Job Role & Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations
Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff (CDPs, Commis, Apprentices)
Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation
Ensure food safety, hygiene, and HACCP compliance
Participate in seasonal menu planning and kitchen innovation
Handle inventory control, stock rotation, and supplier communication
Oversee staff scheduling and kitchen discipline
Salary Range: CAD 65,000 – 75,000 per annum + health benefits + meal allowance

Preferred Candidate Profile:
Culinary Diploma or Degree from a recognized institution
Strong leadership and communication skills
Previous experience in French or contemporary Canadian kitchens
