🧑‍🍳 What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Kitchen Leadership: Oversee and inspire the entire culinary team with strong operational, organizational, and leadership capabilities.
  • Menu Design & Innovation: Develop seasonal, farm-to-table menus featuring the best of local Canadian produce, global techniques, and refined presentation.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage procurement, inventory, food cost control, and vendor relationships while reducing waste and maximizing profitability.
  • Hygiene & Food Safety: Ensure strict compliance with Canadian food handling regulations, HACCP standards, and kitchen cleanliness protocols.
  • Team Building & Mentorship: Recruit, train, and nurture young culinary talent, fostering a disciplined yet creative culture.
  • Guest Experience: Elevate every plate and palate—crafting memorable dining experiences that reflect the hotel’s signature charm and culinary identity.
  • Event Collaboration: Work closely with F&B and hotel management teams for private dining, weddings, corporate events, and curated tasting experiences.

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Proven experience in luxury hospitality or fine dining kitchens
  • Deep knowledge of global culinary techniques, nutrition, and modern plating
  • Strong understanding of menu engineering, costing, and budgeting
  • Natural leader with the ability to train and manage a multicultural kitchen brigade
  • Creative thinker who stays current with food trends, sustainability, and presentation styles
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills
  • Culinary Degree or Diploma from a recognized institution is preferred

🇨🇦 IELTS Requirements for Canada (Work Permit / PR Route)

As per Canadian immigration norms under NOC Code 62200 (Executive Chef), international applicants must provide a valid IELTS General Training Test score to qualify for job or migration pathways.
