Fettuccine Alfredo Recipe (Creamy & Classic)

🕒 Prep Time: 5 minutes

🍳 Cook Time: 15 minutes

🍽️ Serves: 2

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 200g fettuccine

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated

  • Salt, to taste

  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

🍳 Instructions:

  • Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the fettuccine until al dente. Reserve a small amount of pasta water before draining.

  • In a large pan, melt the butter over low to medium heat.

  • Add the heavy cream and stir for 3–4 minutes until it warms and slightly thickens (do not boil).

  • Add the drained pasta directly to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.

  • Stir in the Parmesan cheese gradually, mixing continuously until smooth and creamy.

  • If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen it.

  • Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

  • Serve hot with extra Parmesan and optional parsley on top.

💡 Tips:

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor.

  • Avoid overheating the cream to prevent curdling.

  • Fettuccine is traditional, but tagliatelle or linguine also work well.
